Between port tradition and digitization

With intelligent logistics preplanning and real-time tracking in Bremen, BLG LOGISTICS is establishing the digital port of tomorrow – and the day after tomorrow.

Over

1,400

trucks

per month pass in and out of Shed 22 in Neustädter Hafen alone, with efficient loading processes supported by a proprietary digital solution.

At Neustädter Hafen in Bremen, BLG LOGISTICS moves steel and timber products on a huge scale. Now, with Project Hafen 25 (Port 25), BLG LOGISTICS is making the port the gold standard when it comes to digitization, developing a brand-new terminal operating system and trailblazing IT architecture. Using satellite-assisted warehouse management, the project promises to deliver simpler, more efficient handling – with goods movements tracked in real-time and transport orders optimized autonomously by the system. What’s more, a digital twin to full-scale operations will make it possible to map and analyze all the processes, goods movements and resources in real-time. This ambitious digitization project is making Neustädter Hafen fit for tomorrow – today.
