Bigger.
Smarter.
Greener.

With the C3 logistics center in Bremen opened in 2023, BLG LOGISTICS sets new standards – not only because of its sheer size. The new building also fulfills BLG promises in terms of sustainability: smart efficiency for customers, energy-saving technology for the climate and an attractive working environment for our team.

Tomorrow’s logistics needs big ideas. BLG LOGISTICS shows what is possible – in the approx. 82,000 m2 C3 logistics center in Bremen. For the official inauguration in May 2023, Robert Habeck, the Federal Minister for the Economy, traveled from Berlin to Bremen. This was in recognition of the model character of C3 Bremen: “A strong project that shows how future-oriented business and climate protection go hand in hand,” said Habeck.

In the C3 Bremen, we pool the global production logistics for Mercedes-Benz. The first C in the name therefore stands for Customer. From transport robots to smart pallet packing systems, hi tech meets all customer requirements.

Climate is the second C: The energy concept, insulation, lighting control and optimal access to road, waterway and rail networks save emissions. 23,000 solar modules on the roof generate more electricity than the facility itself uses.

The third C stands for Comfort and the needs of the approx. 500 people who work at the site. Natural light, improved acoustics, green outdoor spaces and more make C3 an attractive workplace.

That’s the size of the area covered by the PV system on the roof of the C3 Bremen. On its completion, it was the largest of its type in Germany.

Large, holistically conceived projects like this are exactly what we need to achieve our climate goals and make Germany greenhouse-gas-neutral.
