Specialists where size matters

Whether trams for Australia or cranes for the USA – the BLG High & Heavy Terminal in Bremerhaven is the first choice for customers all over Europe who want to send XXL-size goods overseas. Once again in 2023, our BLG specialists fully lived up to their reputation.

In Bremerhaven, almost nothing is too heavy. The BLG LOGISTICS High & Heavy area enjoys the reputation of the top-choice location for extra-heavy and bulky loads. Every year, 1.3 million metric tons are handled at the facility.

Additional vessels head for Bremerhaven as an unplanned alternative when other ports fail to cope, for example if they are unable to unload non-drivable construction machines off the ship. A routine job for our team in 2023 was loading several construction cranes, each weighing over 100 metric tons, including securing them safely for their journey to the USA. At our own roll-on-roll-off terminal, our BLG specialists loaded six complete trams destined for the East coast of Australia as well as the Red Bull Energy Station for Formula 1 events overseas.

Railcars, cranes, fire engines or circus trucks: our colleagues in High & Heavy are experts in precision measurement, however large the cargo.
